The Ouzoud waterfalls are about 160 km away from Marrakech, embedded in the M’goun UNESCO Global Geopark, a vast area of high mineralogical and paleontological relevance. On the way we will drive through the Tadla plains and its olive groves.
The waterfalls are famous to be spectacular as well as the highest in North Africa, with a drop of 110 m. which produces an epic rumble and a permanent rainbow.
The waterfalls and surroundings are an oasis of lush vegetaion in the midst of the desert, and odd enough the oasis’s fauna features small and curious monkeys always on the hunt for toutist-delivered treats.
The waterfalls are a place to trek or to relax and many small and quaint rest areas dot the trekking trails and surrounding areas.
